Getting started in Boy Scouts

1) Sign up! 

    The troop requires a completed BSA application. The troop also requires a yearly membership registration fee. The membership registration fee may change from year to year so is not added to this website. For families with more than one scout, the membership registration fee is reduced. The registration fee includes a subscription to the monthly Scouting magazine. 

2) Don an official uniform. 

    Scouts wear a 'Class A' uniform to troop meetings. Uniforms can be purchased at any Boy Scout shop. The troop will provide the scout with the neckerchief and slide. A 'Class B' uniform is a more comfortable T-shirt that is worn during outside activities on occasion. The troop will provide the scout with the Class B uniform. 

3) Get yourself a Scout Handbook.

    The scout handbook can be purchased at any Boy Scout shop or ordered online. The handbook will be with you for your entire scouting career so it is recommended that a cover be purchased to protect the handbook. 

4) Have fun! 

    You will start out by attending one of our weekly meetings, where you will be introduced to the troop and start your scouting journey.
